Panart Model 745 Baltimore Clipper Schooner Lynx, A War or 1812 Privateer Schooner. An accurate and very detailed model of an iconic type of warship from the founding of the United States. New, listed as used because it has been opened for inspection. 100% complete and in excellent condition. Double plank on frame construction, the kit contains:- 4 large Sheets of building plans with general details, English instructions, walnut or lime planking, wooden masts and spars, brass and walnut fittings and rigging cord. All sheet ply sections are laser cut for accuracy. A square topsail American schooner, the Lynx was launched from the Baltimore dockyards in the early 19th century. Her commission was dated less than a month after the declaration war, on July 14th 1812. She took part in the Great Lakes Battle in 1812 and was captured by Sir John Warren’s squadron at the Rappahnnock river on 13th April 1813. It is not unusual for a package to be in transit for over a month although 2 to 3 weeks is more normal.
