This plastic assembly kit of the world’s first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, the Enterprise, nicknamed “Big E, ” was completed in 1961. The voluminous hull is divided into two sections, faithfully recreating its delicate lines. Three metal frames are used internally, and the large sponsons protruding from both sides are molded as a single piece for added strength.
