Vertical Steam Engine 37 New Judson Coke Bottle Very Nice Can Ship
Measures 37 from base to the top of cylinder head. Total height to the top of fly ball governor is 4 5. Base measures 15 x 28. This engine is in very nice original condition. It turns over smoothly. It has a New Judson fly ball governor that is not hooked up but turns very smooth and its gears are in nice shape. Just needs a belt. I added a nice Early Crosley steam gauge with the engine. The engine does not have a manufacture name on it. The flyball governor is marked The New Judson. The engine base is a catch basin/oil pan for the excess oil from the oilers. The pipe coming out the side of the base is the drain pipe for the excess oil. 2 of the oilers glass has cracked and leak oil slowly. Also has a nice Buckey Brass Works Co. Oiler with wooden knobs for direct oil to the cylinder. I will bolt this to a pallet free of charge. If you would like it crated I could drop it off at the nearest Fastenal. Made during the end of XIX century of beginning of XX century. Continental (most probably made in Germany, because during these years Argentina imported a lot of scientific instrument from Germany). Impressive & massive iron & bronze pice. Engine has been dismantled, cleaned & oiled, but not restored in any way to preserve its original antique condition. This apparatus is not tested, however it is complete all pieces are moving correctly so i assume it must work (piston and valve are complete and working). Weight: almost 14 lbs.
