The hull is made of combination exotic wood stained that you can see the natural wood grains, some parts are painted with colors. The masts are full-rigged with furl sails. This side trawler, so typical of the thirties and forties, was converted to a peace time trawler from one of eight Round Table Class minesweepers built around 1943 for war service. The design is based on the hull lines of Star of Orkney, a trawler built in 1936. The hull is a fully-detailed GRP molding with CNC-cut ply deck and superstructure. The kit boasts a full set of white metal fittings, dowels, tubes, rod, and more for a museum-quality finish. Additions such as nets, buoys and ropes are the final flourish, though internal lighting and RC motors (not included) can be added for further functionality!
