This is a brand new 1928 to 1932 Ford Cross Steer rack and pinion kit. This Cross Steer kit finally allows you to put rack and pinion steering onto your early Ford straight axle! This rack creates very little bump steer and no play in the rack travel. Basically, this rack eliminates both tight and loose spots that are found in many of the stock or after market steering boxes. This rack kit is designed as a direct replacement if you have an existing vega steering box. The bracket on this rack attaches to the same three hole bracket that the vega box was attached to. Also, this kit comes the the shaft adapter kit. It includes a length of stainless shaft and steering coupler to adapt your new Cross Steer rack to the old vega box linkage. Finally, this kit includes a polished stainless outer tie rod end to complete the installation. Installation of this kit is very simple and it does include instructions.
