Designed and built by the renowned naval architect William Fife III, the Endeavour was launched in 1934 and quickly gained fame for its impressive speed and graceful design. It was commissioned by Sir Thomas Sopwith, a British aviation pioneer and yachtsman, with the intention of challenging for the America’s Cup – the most prestigious trophy in the world of sailing. With its sleek lines and towering masts, the Endeavour was a magnificent sight to behold. It was a true representation of the golden age of yachting, with its intricate woodwork and luxurious interior. The boat was also equipped with state-of-the-art technology for the time, including a hydraulic steering system and an innovative underwater shape that allowed for maximum speed and stability. The kit contains pre-cut lifts (in alternating layers of basswood and mahogany), a chamfered solid cherry backboard (6? X 23?), brass nameplate, plans, and illustrated instruction booklet. The modeler learns to glue the lifts, carve and sand them to conform to the true hull shape, finish the model and backboard, and assemble the completed model. Endeavour can be varnished, showing the decorative alternating basswood and mahogany layers, or painted as on the original yacht.

A beautiful model made in 1998 so this is the earliest version kit. It has 98 percent of the parts / missing rope /rigging. I was going to install the gun muzzles in the bottom ports which can be bought. All deck guns are ok. Bottom coppers needs to be reglued in some places. Extra copper comes with this model. U will need to make some deck parts. All masts are intact mostly all put together. 5 set of proper plans intact. Please look at the photos. This is an expensive kit and this one is pro half built. Up for sale/offers here is a Half Scale Aermotor model engine casting kit and plans. This was cast by David Abbott in England and is a half scale with a 10 inch flywheel. My father raves about the quality and detail of these castings. My father was planning on building this engine after some practice on other models because he considered it his crown jewel of models. Dad is not going to get to this one now due to several reasons, so he wants it in the hands of another builder before there are none left. Kit includes all of the castings in the pictures plus all the plans and instructions I have. Any info from the missing sheets might be elsewhere in the plans as well. Make offers if my price is too high, I take all reasonable offers and even some unreasonable ones!!!
