Not only has the overall proportions been accurately captured and realistically reproduced, but the finer details are also meticulously modeled. The scale-rich masts, machine gun barrels, and the intricately constructed bridge and deck are delicately sculpted to further enhance the sense of realism. This plastic assembly kit of the world’s first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, the Enterprise, nicknamed “Big E, ” was completed in 1961. The voluminous hull is divided into two sections, faithfully recreating its delicate lines. Three metal frames are used internally, and the large sponsons protruding from both sides are molded as a single piece for added strength.
