The box is worn from storage but all parts seem to be intact. The tiny fittings are all in the original bags and the boards with the body printed on them are clean and unused. I cannot say for sure re parts but the inside box looks like it has not been touched. This has been stored in a clean dry place since 1977. The fittings are high quality in walnut, brass, and other metals. Size is about 30″ long by 22″ high. Scale is 1:100 Skill level: Advanced. Sheets numbered 1 thru 5. Sheets are fine and in new condition. La Couronne was the first man of war built by the French themselves in accordance to Richelieu’s plans to renew the French Navy, after a series of ships built by the Dutch. The construction was overseen by the famous carpenter Charles Morieur, from Dieppe. She was one of the most advanced units of her time. She bore 68 heavy guns, 8 firing to the bow and 8 to the aft, an unusual feature until Dupuy de Lome redesigned naval artillery. The Couronne took part in the siege of Hondarribia in 1638, and another expedition to Spain in 1639 under Henri de Sourdis. I will insure this item. Thank you for looking and good luck.
