The unassembled plastic kit requires glue type assembly and comes with photoetch details, waterslide decals, and a display stand with plaque. The kit is made of injection molded styrene parts and brass photoetch, and measures 29 inches in length, 10 inches in height, and 3.5 inches in width. The model is recommended for ages 17 and up, and requires lot of parts and photoetch experience. Single piece full hull. Detailed deck and superstructure. Full weapons suite 12 inch/50 caliber (305mm), 5 in (130mm) guns, 40mm guns, 20mm guns, 12.8 in (325mm) turrets. Extensive photoetch (railings, inclined and vertical ladders, mast, antenna and additional fine accents). Aircraft catapult and SC Seahawk (x2). Name plate and display stand. Fossileyes’ Factoids; USS Guam (CB-2). Which served with the United States Navy. During the end of World War II. An American territory in the Pacific. Due to her commissioning late in the war. Saw relatively limited service during the war. She participated in operations off Okinawa. In March-July 1945, including providing anti-aircraft defense for the carrier task force and conducting limited shore bombardment operations. After the end of the war, she assisted in the occupation of Korea and transported a contingent of US Army troops back to the United States.
