Bluenose II Kit # BB600. Scale model of a schooner from the year 1929. 1:100 scale Wooden hull. 16.93? H X 20.47? L X 3.35? W. (52cm H X 43cm L X 8.5cm W). CONDITION OF THIS KIT. This kit is brand new. It does, however, have some storage wear on the box and the edges and corners show some worn areas. A parts list was discovered online and every single part to this kit is it accounted for. There are no missing parts. There are no damaged parts. The blueprint or layout poster has never been unfolded. The instruction booklet has never been opened. The paper is very clean and crisp with no stains or water damage. The decals are in great condition. As well as a Canadian flag. The tiny brass and wooden pieces remain factory, sealed in their blister pack. There are no loose parts cut away from the wood. They are all intact. The bundles of wood still had their factory ties on them. This kid is brand new. But the box is a little bit faded on the edges. The schooner Bluenose has a very special place in the history of navigation and yachting. She was built in Nova Scotia in 1929, and shipwrecked near Haiti in 1946. A true copy – Bluenose II – was launched in 1964. All of the 600 Series Model Boat Kits (item numbers 600-609) include an easier way of building the hull. The hull is assembled in halves, on a table. This allows for easier assembly and is quite useful in learning plank-on-frame or plank-on-bulkhead construction! Once each half is done you join the two for a completed hull. Make sure you work each half in opposite directions so that when joined they marry up evenly! This kit contains English translation instructions, all measurements in the booklet are in Metric. Please note there is a larger 1:65 scale version of the Bluenose II model number 576. Paints used on this model boat kit are: BB#1, BB#7, BB#11, BB#14, BB#16, BB#17, BB#30, BB#36, + BB#40 thinner cleaner. The Billing Boats 1:100 Bluenose II Serie 600 Wooden Model Kit is a vintage unassembled kit made in Denmark in 1982. This multicolor model kit includes all the necessary materials such as wood, plastic, metal, canvas, and thread to build a 1:100 scale replica of the Bluenose II Serie 600.
