Jump Start Your Collection by getting All Three Major Versions of the 40th Anniversary Diamond Select /Art Asylum releases of the venerable NCC-1701 USS Enterprise. In celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the Series Diamond Select produced 4(one very limited release) versions of the NCC 1701 USS Enterprise. Of the three versions only one has lighted nacelles more closely resembling the one from the series other than pilots. The principle physical distinction between that model and the other two (The Cage and Where No Man Has Gone Before) are the nacelles and the bridge. As previously stated the series version the nacelles light up whereas on the other two there are antennae like structure protruding from the front. Also, the bridge on the other two have a large main viewing screen. “The Cage” and Where No Man Has Gone Before versions are harder to find and becoming scarce. I have a preference for “Where No Man Has Gone Before” because of the black markings on the side of the saucer. All of these are smooth saucer ships unlike the gridded lines of later issues. The photographs are of the actual three ships included in this package deal. All three ships have been tested. And all of the light and sound effects are working as intended. I have discounted this package in order for it to be affordable to an original series fan who has just discovered these products. You will notice that I have separate listings of these ships as well some in new condition. Other than my personal collection I only have “pre-owned” “Where No Man has Gone Before” in my inventory. I did think I had a new one and I intended this listing to only include new but someone tricked me. Sometimes not good stuff happens but you will only get honesty from me.
