HMS Victory & Standing Case. It is able to move from 15 to 17 kilometers per hour, and weighed as heavy as 7 tons, including guns. It was launched in 1765 and was most famous as Admiral Horatio Nelsons flagship at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. Nelson was shot and killed during the battle. It has been restored and rests in a dry dock at Portsmouth, England. Handmade from high-quality materials; fine lumbers are seasoned and kiln dried to the appropriate humidity level before they are used. Exacting replica; extensive research through original plans and pictures are completed prior to build. Plank-on-frame construction method; similar to the building of actual ships. The sails are all hand stitched with fine details, seasoned to make the sails look and feel like real. Display stand included & Case. The case is full length with Plexiglas for protection. Some light scratching to the plexi from being moved around. In addition the plexi is slightly off track on one side of the frame. Only noticeable when going over with fine tooth comb.
