The Xebec (or Sciabecco) Is part of Amati’s Historic Model Kit Series. The kit includes wooden and metal fittings, wooden pre-cut keel and frames, flags and sails, rigging lines, masts and spars. The plan set includes 4 large sheets of plans plus a full color, step-by-step instruction booklet. All text is given in Italian, but a separate insert includes the English translated text. Armed with 14 cannons and 6 swivel guns for action at close range, the Xebec was also used for coastal defense by Spanish Navy against Algerian pirates.
