She was recommissioned with 112 guns and 1200 men when the Nine Years’ War broke out in 1688 as the flagship of the escadre du Ponant (squadron of the Ponant). The emblem of the “sun” had been chosen by Louis XIV as his personal symbol. This is a double plank-on-bulkhead kit, and all parts are laser cut for a accurate fit and ease of assembly. The kit comes complete with silk-screened flags, and cotton rigging. The detailing on this model is extraordinary, even among top-quality kits: there are over 300 bronze decorations, and countless other brass or walnut fittings for a museum quality finish!
